Career Information
I have been working as a professional counselor since 1997. I started my career working in a college counseling center servicing undergraduate and graduate students. While I mostly had counseling appointments, I also ran groups on eating disorders, relationships, premarital, infertility and led workshops in the greater college setting. I also taught online and in person classes on Women's Issues.
In 2007, I started my own private practice, working with individuals from ages 12 on up. I work with non-crisis couples and meet with Pre-marital couples, utilizing either Prepare-Enrich or Symbis coursework. I also counsel pastor's and ministry wives & families.
Recently in June 2023, I became the Clinical Manager of the Counseling Center at Moody Theological Seminary, where I supervise BA & MA interns during their practicum and internships.
Some clients say that counseling with me is like having coffee with a friend who seeks to understand their pain & questions. We all have struggles, so why not "enjoy" walking through it together. There will be tears, there will be laughter, there will be serious dialogue. I find it a privilege to walk alongside people on their journey towards healing.
I currently have in-person availability on Mondays 8am-8pm only in Oakbrook.
(Please contact me for the specific address)
Otherwise, I can meet online on Mondays 8a-8p, Wednesdays or Thursdays 4-8p.
